Before the life of Simba another great king ruled over the Pride Lands. His name was Mufasa and he was said to be one of the greatest one of them all. Next December in 2024 disney presents the movie Mufasa: The Lion King.
Mufasa: The Lion King is an upcoming American musical drama film directed by Barry Jenkins, written by Jeff Nathanson, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pastel Productions. The actors will be for the fantastic upcoming movie Mufasa The Lion King, with starring Aaron Pierre as the famous lion king Mufasa and then the other actors will be Pumba as Seth Rogen and Timon will be the actor Billy Eichner and Kelvin Harrison Jr. will be playing Scar. John Kani will also be playing Rafiki.
Judging by the first-look footage screened at the 2022 D23 Expo, "Mufasa" looks to be an original narrative exploring the relationship between Mufasa and his sibling Taka(Scar), Mufasa's journey to becoming King of the Pride Lands, and how Taka came to get the Scar that would give him his nickname Scar.
Mufasa The Lion King is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024. It was previously scheduled for release on July 5, 2024, but was delayed to its current date due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. So then they added a whole 5 months and 15 days.
