Many parents face the same situation when Monday rolls around each week during the school year. The kids groan, complain about getting out of bed, and struggle to get through the morning routine. Getting to school on time or making it out for the bus is a constant battle. Many districts have considered shifting to a 4-day school week to avoid this issue. Most kids don’t have a lot of time to do what they need to do to get ready in the morning because they are tired of going to school 4 days a week and only getting 2 days to relax.

One reason that we should have a 4-day weekend is because It may reduce the number of discipline referrals for students. According to a 4-day school week. Their students were more focused because they were more rested, which equated to fewer classroom disruptions and better grades.
