Have you heard Jojo Siwa’s new song “Karma”? If so, then you know there are definitely lots of different opinions on it. In this article I will be talking about her new song and what other people think about it.

On April 5, 2024, Jojo Siwa released her new song, “Karma”. She hadn’t released any music since 2020 so this was quite a surprise to people. The weeks before she released her new song, she had talked about how she would be releasing a new song and had been giving sneak peaks on social media, like TikTok. Jojo Siwa says that her biggest influences were Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus and she  wanted to “flip the switch” like Miley did and become an adult star and not a child star. Today.com says, “In another interview with Billboard where she explained how the song and music video came together, she shared her ultimate goal with her new era.”

There have been rumors going around that Jojo has stolen her song from Miley Cyrus and that the song was linked to her. One of the songwriters who helped make “Karma” was linked to Miley and had helped produce her songs in the 2010’s. One of the other musicians that was linked to the song was Brit Smith. She had made an unreleased song called “Provocative” which had the exact same lyrics as Jojo Siwa’s “Karma”. Brit later addressed it in an interview saying that she had recorded the song back  in 2012.

Jojo has definitely gotten lots of different opinions on her song. Some of them are good and lots of them are bad. On tiktok, lots of people have mocked the dance she does in her music video and lots of people have thought that her new song is just a funny joke. Alexis Critchlow says, “Jojo Siwa’s new song is trash.” I think lots of people also think this.

In conclusion, Jojo Siwa's song definitely has lots of controversy. There are lots of different thoughts about it and lots of mixed opinions. What do you think of Jojo’s new song?
