Mini Warehouse & Sophisticates

Jazz Hands! Mini Warehouse and Sophisticates are two show choirs at EJHS, they dance, sing, and perform at various competitions as well as the Fall Festival in Ellettsville. If you want to see our show choirs perform you can go to the Fall Festival from September 21st - September 23rd.

Mrs. Campbell, the 10/10 choir teacher here at EJHS is also the director of our show choirs. Music Warehouse is the advanced boys and girls group at Edgewood High School. Mini Warehouse here at EJHS came from that name since it is the smaller version of the EHS choir. The Mini Warehouse is where both boys and girls dance together and perform together. It takes lots of practice and dedication to learn every song and dance and perform it for huge crowds.

The other show choir in our school is new and it is called Sophisticates. It is an all-girls group that does singing and dancing similar to Mini. Sophisticates came from an Edgewood High School group called “Sophisticated Ladies” that is also comprised of all girls. Sophisticates is new this year, Mrs. Campbell would possibly make an all boys choir like Sophisticates if there was an interest in it.

Emma Curtis is a seventh grader in Mini Warehouse. “I chose Mini over sophisticates because I got to see my brother do it and it just looked fun.”  These two choirs are great to be in but there are some differences between them. Mini Warehouse has boys and girls while Sophisticates is an all girls group. Sophisticates also has mostly 7th graders while 8th grade makes up most of the Mini warehouse group.

We are so grateful that we are able to have two different show choirs and are even more grateful that we have enough people that want to participate in such a wonderful activity. In conclusion, both show choirs are absolutely AMAZING and you should 100% go and see them perform whenever you can!
