Dodge and Donate Fundraiser

The Dodge and Donate Fundraiser is said to give all of the money raised back to students but many people are wondering where it is actually going! According to Mrs. Musselwhite, ¨The money raised goes to the general fund of the school. A general fund is a fund that is required throughout the state of Indiana that goes right back to the students. This can be things like a new playground (for elementary kids), school supplies for classrooms, gym equipment, and more! 

As of Saturday, September 16, Mrs. Millick´s classroom is in the lead of all of the homerooms. So far, about 270 kids have donated and on Saturday, September 16, the school had raised $5548 in total. Mr. Rensctler states, ¨I feel like the fundraiser is going well so far. We´ve had more participation this year, with more people donating.¨

As great as the dodge and donate fundraiser is, there is a lot of controversy on the new edition to the game. The losers bracket. The losers bracket was created ¨because we got a lot of criticism last year from students because they were annoyed that if they lost their first round, they were done and there was no more chances of playing. I think it gives kids more opportunities to play so they have a chance at redemption,¨ states Mrs. Musselwhite.
