Indiana is home to many people of many ages, and of course they will all need an education. Near the end of the road for most of these people is highschool. Some highschools are big and others… not so much. According to publicschoolreview.com, 

“The public high school in Indiana has approximately average 827 students (2023). The public high schools with the largest student enrollments are listed below. The largest public high school in Indiana is Indiana Connections Academy with 6,687 students.” 

Here are some big highschools from Indiana that some people might have heard of.

1   Indiana Connections Academy

Indiana Connections Academy serves 6,687 students in grades Kindergarten-12.  Although they are an online school they have placed in the top 50% of all schools in Indiana for overall test scores (math proficiency is bottom 50%, and reading proficiency is top 30%) for the 2020-21 school year. The percentage of students achieving proficiency in math is 29% (which is lower than the Indiana state average of 36%) for the 2020-21 school year. The percentage of students achieving proficiency in reading/language arts is 55% (which is higher than the Indiana state average of 43%) for the 2020-21 school year.

2 Avon highschool

Avon High School serves 3,201 students in grades 9-12. Avon High School placed in the top 20% of all schools in Indiana for overall test scores math proficiency is top 50%, and reading proficiency is top 5% for the 2020-21 school year. The percentage of students achieving proficiency in math is 44% which is higher than the Indiana state average of 36% for the 2020-21 school year. The percentage of students achieving proficiency in reading/language arts is 76% which is higher than the Indiana state average of 43% for the 2020-21 school year.
