Did you just start to take Mrs. Koontz's class? If you are new to Mrs. Koontz’s class this might help you out to learn more about one of our awesome 6th grade teachers.

This is not Mrs. Koontz' first year teaching at EJHS. Mrs. Koontz has taught for 3 years at EJHS. Computer science galore, Mrs. Koontz teaches

6 class periods, 4 computer science classes and 2 ELA WIN classes. Mrs. Koontz has also taught summer school at EIS.

It is very hard to be a teacher, but Mrs Koontz makes it look easy. “She gives you lots of challenges and she makes you do more work than other teachers would,” said Alaina Felton.

Mrs. Koontz gives you as many tries on an assignment as you need. If you are not happy with your scores, you can redo the assignment as many times until you are happy with your score. Mrs. Koontz teaches a little differently though; she treats you like you are doing your job, not directly like a 6th grade student. Mrs. Koontz overall is amazing at doing her job.

Mrs. Koonts loves to do spectator sports outside of school. That's something you would probably never know about Mrs. Koontz. Mrs Koontz also has three kids: a 25 year old, a 21 year old and a 16 year old. Mrs. Koontz loves her kids but she doesn't like when kids at school are disrespectful. Even though she sometimes has trouble with some of her kids being disrespectful, Mrs. Koontz loves all of her students and their different qualities. Mrs. Koontz favorite thing to do at EJHS is to meet her students and learn about them. The next time you see Mrs. Koontz maybe say hi or ask how her day is going because she would love to learn more about you!

Mrs. Koontz didn't actually decide to teach computer science, she was asked to. Mrs. Koontz loves her job and doesn't regret doing it. Mrs. Koontz has taught many grades in her career. She has taught preschool through 6th grade! After everything she has learned she still does not know what her favorite thing is about computer science. There must be a lot of awesome things about computer science. Mrs. Koontz loves a lot of things about EJHS though. She loves the culture, Positivity and the amazing principals! Mrs. Koontz works very hard to let you learn with lots of fun and creativity!
