The New Velma Show Review

Have you ever heard of the new Velma show? It came out on January 12th of 2023, and is one of the worst shows to ever exist, with a 1.3 star rating. Today, we will go over the opinions and facts on why the Velma show IS the worst.

First of all, its 1.3 star rating doesn’t give it a good name. It also has a 40% Tomato, and anything that is below 60% on Rotten Tomatoes. Along with that, the Audience score,

meaning how much the people who watched it liked it, is 11%. That is HORRIBLE compared to other shows. The only reason it is popular is because of how bad it is. Thus proving how badly-rated it is.

Second, the show is directed towards adults but is based off of the show, “Scooby-doo” that we’re pretty sure that we all watched as kids. It also has a character named “Norville”, which is a depiction of an African-American Shaggy. The show also has some different characters, but we’ll focus on these two. Velma is also depicted as an African-American, which she wasn’t in the original show. Some people are angry with this decision to make them like this.. Even though the show is focused on the character Velma, there are still some original characters such as Daphne and Fred.

Third of all, as most of you know the dog named “Scooby” from the original show, you barely ever get to see him at all. It is a very sketchy show to be watching, and we don’t recommend it because of the horrible quality. It's inappropriate moments, combined with some gore-ish scenes can make it to not be a very pleasant time for any kid who fell upon it.

Last but not least, The cast. People such as “Norville” above and the new Velma are characterized as very different from the original series we know and love. For some people, these selections are very controversial. Some people are very sensitive to those topics; therefore, they should put very miniscule of it in the show as it will cause a lot of trouble.
