On October 16, 1923 Walt Disney and his brother Roy Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio in Hollywood,  California. It is now one of the largest media companies in the world.

As a kid, Walt loved to draw. He drew cartoons for publications. He worked at the Kansas City Film Ad Co. During his time there he found that he liked cel animation. When his Laugh-O-Gram studio went bankrupt, he decided to move to Los Angeles. His brother was recovering from tuberculosis. While he was in Los Angeles he sold a short film called Alice’s Wonderland  produced by Laugh-O-Gram. Then he signed a contract to make six more films.

After the Alice comedies had a huge success and the show based off of the character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Disney started to work on the most famous creation Steamboat Willie; that is where Mickey Mouse met the world. He is now one of the most known and famous characters in history. His fame told Walt that he could make more films in the future.

Now everyone loves Disney movies and here are some things that people said about them. Emma Curtis said “They are enjoyable to watch. I like the animated movies.” Camron Sessions stated, “They are creative and enjoyable to watch.” Kinley Butler commented, “I think Disney movies are a great way to educate kids and also just let them watch a movie.” Kendall Robbinson also stated, “They have really sad endings. I like the creator Walt Disney. I like Mickey Mouse.” I for one love Disney movies. I think they are amazing. I also love the theme park Walt Disney World. I am obsessed with Walt Disney and I hope that his story will live on forever.

Since then, the Walt Disney Company has produced dozens of groundbreaking films. Now he also has five theme parks and his story will live on forever.
