For many years people have been arguing books versus movies. If you’re like most people, you probably enjoy going to the movies. What’s not to like? You get to watch the movie on a big screen and eat all kinds of snacks. Sure, movies are great. But sitting down and quietly reading a book is way better. It might not sound like it, but let me tell you why books are better than watching a movie.

Alice Musselwhite is sitting and reading an awesome book.

Books are a lot of fun to read which is why books are better than movies. They give so much more detail which really helps you paint a picture in your mind but still leaves a little imagination. Books also spread motivation and positivity amongst its readers, it shares knowledge which allows the reader to see the world in a new way using imagination, and it reduces mental pressure by giving the reader a solution to their problems. They also describe emotions very strongly. You can't always see strong emotions in movies. The director in movies cannot take the viewer anywhere and everywhere on Earth much less into the human mind. Also in a movie you might be disappointed when a character doesn't look like you thought.

“Books can teleport you to another world and for the time you're reading it, you feel like you are in a story. With movies you don’t get that. Also, books are so much more detailed than movies,” says Ona Terrell

Also there are parts they cut out of movies so it is not too long. Like in Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. Fred and George made a big mess at the school and Flitwick had to clean it up but he left a little spot because it was the last year at Hogwarts. He left it in honor of them. You don't get to see that in the movie because they cut it out.

Reading is also better for your brain. It reduces stress, promotes comprehension and imagination, alleviates depression, and helps you sleep. Reading can improve your focus, memory, empathy, and communication skills too. Not only does regular reading help make you smarter, but it can also actually increase your brainpower. Reading is good for you because it improves your focus, memory, empathy, and communication skills. It can reduce stress, improve your mental health, and help you live longer. Reading also allows you to learn new things to help you succeed in your work.

Reading is good for your eyes too because focusing on pixels makes our eyes work a little harder.  It is also better to read a Printed book because there are no harmful lights. Traditional paper books are probably the best option for your eyes. Reading books also helps to make your eyes healthy. It also helps prevent glare, which is an important part of eye health. Also according to experts, staring at computers, tablets, and smartphone screens will not permanently damage your eyesight however, doing so can cause some bothersome side effects.

Reading is good for you because it improves your focus, memory, empathy, and communication skills. It can reduce stress, improve your mental health, and help you live longer. Reading also allows you to learn new things to help you succeed in your work and relationships. That's just a few of the reasons that books are better than movies.
