Do We Really Need Another Pizza Place in Ellettsville?

As if we didn’t already have enough pizza! The new addition of Pizza Hut has brought pizza lovers joy. If our calculations are correct, Pizza Hut will be the seventh pizza place in Ellettsville- and hopefully the last! The pizza population keeps growing in order to satisfy all our pizza needs! The question is, do we really need any more pizza??
The list of pizza places in Ellettsville keeps growing. To start we have Pizza Pantry. Another pizza place in Ellettsville is Pizza X. Of course there is also Chicago’s and Papa John’s. On top of all that there is the new Hoosier Pie Hole and finally, Dominos! In many peoples’ opinion, there is no need for more pizza places!
In 1958 2 brothers, Dan who was 19 and Frank Carney who was 26 at the time, set out to make a pizza place. They borrowed $600 from their mom to make it happen, and they opened their own shop in Wichita, Kansas and named it “Pizza Hut” because apparently their sign only had room for 8 letters. I’m sure if they could see it know they would be amazed at the booming business. In fact there is 18000 pizza huts in the world in over 100 countries.
Surprisingly the Pizza Hut has a reputation of 2.3 stars, here are some of the reviews we found on Zomato.com.
We asked some students what they think about the new pizza place and this is just a few of the responses we have gotten. Ben Welch said, “I think it's (Pizza Hut) an OK addition, although I do think we already had enough pizza places in Ellettsville.” There were many responses that were similar to this, such as Avi Grile’s response which was, “It’s not that great. I’ve had better pizza at different Pizza Huts.” On the other hand, there were also many responses praising the new Pizza Hut! Poppy Bishop said, “I honestly love their pizza. I think is has a good cheese to sauce ratio, and is just SO GOOD!!!” Raffi Arakelyan said, “I know Pizza hut is amazing because of their pizza,
which resembles heaven on cooked dough.” But even though there were many good reviews on the new Pizza Hut, many students also had opinions about what restaurants could have been better. One common response was Chick-fil-a. Brooklynn Wilson said, “I think that if I could've chosen I would've chosen Colvers because I love their food especially their chicken strips!” and Drew Figg said, “I think that if there were a new place in Ellettsville I would choose Freddy’s.”
So as we welcome our new pizza place, although we are hoping it's the last, we do want it to be good and hopefully, it will get better over time.
