Top 5 Fall Activities

Most people can say they like fall, but what are the best things to do? Here are some things that EJHS students like. (These are not in any particular order, just 5 different things to do, see, and eat.)

Want a place to pick a pumpkin, do a corn maze, and have some real fall fun? If you do, then Fowler Pumpkin Patch is the place for you! It has a hayride through the woods that is decorated around Halloween to look spooky. Most of the time, it's just a fun hayride. They also have a corn maze. I feel like the corn maze is just hard enough to be fun. Along with that, there is a pumpkin patch, an area to pet animals, and much more! Go try it!

This is how Byers thinks of the Kiwanis Indiana Balloon Festival. The balloon festival is a fun fall activity. This year it will take place October 26, 2023 - October 28, 2023. Go enjoy some family fun!

Do you want a good place to look at the fall leaves and explore? Try Bean Blossom Bottoms Nature Preserve.

“It's really fun to hike around,” says Benjamin Chupp, an 8th grader at EJHS.

Bean Blossom Bottoms has a trail that is partly a boardwalk over a wetland. Bean Blossom Bottoms is a fun place to hike and explore nature. With lots of hardwood trees, it lights up in the fall.

Time to sweeten this up! Crumbl Cookies has some of the best cookies in Bloomington and delightful fall flavors. They have new cookies each week and each one is amazing! One of the most popular cookies they have made for Halloween is the Dirt cookie. Dirt cookie is a chocolate cookie coated in cookies & cream crumbs and topped with fudge chocolate frosting, crunchy chocolate streusel, and a gummy worm. Another fun place is Jiffy Treat. With lots of fall flavors, they are one of the best ice cream shops around. During the fall, they have apple cider donut ice cream, pumpkin ice cream, and an apple cider slushie. I’ve tried most of them and they’re really good.
