New & Upcoming Halloween Movies

“Exorcist Believer” is a sequel (a movie after a different movie that has the same storyline, or character/s and comes in chronological order) to the movie “Exorcist” made in 1973. This movie is currently in theaters to watch and came out October 13th, 2023. This movie is about two girls who go into the woods and come back three days later but while they were out they’ve been possessed by the same demon from the first movie. 

“Talk to Me” is a movie that came out on July 28, 2023. This movie is about a group of teens who get a hand that belonged to a dead person, which allows them to talk to and see dead people. They start playing games with the hand and take it too far and get the spirits attached to them. 

“Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” is a prequel (a movie released after the first but takes place before the first one happened) to the movie “Pet Sematary”. This movie came out September 23, 2023, in theaters, but was available to watch at home on October 6. This movie is about Jud (from the first movie) first finding out about the Pet Sematary’s secrets when Timmy, another man who went to war with him starts acting strange. 

“Five Nights At Freddy's” is a movie based off of the video game also called “Five Nights At Freddy's”. It’s expected to come into theaters on October 27th. This movie’s about a guy who gets hired to work a night shift at a pizza place that went out of business. He accepts the job without him knowing that the animatronics come to life at night time. 

“The Nun II”, is a sequel to the movie “The Nun” made on September 7th, 2018 which is a prequel to the Conjuring movies. The movie, came out on September 8th, 2023. This movie is about a priest being murdered by Valak (the nun) and Sister Irene (from the first movie) investigates his case.

These are just some of the many new halloween/horror movies that have come out or are coming out this year.  L.B, a 6th grader, said that she's most excited about the “Five Nights At Freddy's” because, “It’s the newest halloween movie and I really care about the book series and video games. It’s also based on the newest game.“  ZZ Welding says that she would like the exorcist the most because, "I watched the first one and I like it better than the rest."
