Should Halloween Decorations Be Scary?

A lot of people decorate their houses and yards for Halloween with scary decorations but should Halloween decorations really be scary? I think That Halloween decorations shouldn't be scary because it can be really scary for little kids who have not been exposed to things like scary halloween decorations yet. Also if little kids get scared by that it could last for a long time with them being scared all of the time and that would make the kids bother their parents. Lastly, scary decorations can make more than just kids uncomfortable but even adults.
My first reason is that Halloween decorations should not be scary because they can scare little kids who haven't been exposed to things like scary decorations. The News Press says, ¨Decorations, such as bloody organs littered across lawns, realistic corpses hanging from trees or mannequins of monsters positioned at the front of the door, have caused concerns from parents of young trick-or-treaters and officials who patrol on All Hallows Eve.¨ Also Chicago Tribune says, ¨There is such a thing as too scary, seeing a prop hanging from trees is going too far with little kids trick-or-treating.¨
Another reason Halloween decorations should not be scary is that if little kids get scared by Halloween decorations it could last for a long time making little kids bother their parents. The News Press says, ¨While others might see just a scary skeleton hanging from a tree, the impact of lynching imagery can be startling to others.¨ That is another reason I think Halloween decorations shouldn't be scary.
My last reason is that scary decorations can make older kids and adults uncomfortable. The News Press says, ¨It's typical to have skeletons and some ghouls with eerie looking faces throughout the yard but hyper-realistic rotting flesh and scenes depicting crime scenes can make many uncomfortable.¨ Ben Lawson says, ¨Halloween decorations should be a little scary with things like skeletons but that Halloween decorations shouldn't be too scary.¨
I think that Halloween decorations should not be scary and one reason is that scary Halloween decorations can scare little kids who have not been exposed to scary things like that. Another reason is that if the scary decorations like that scare little kids it can last for a long time and if kids are scared all of the time they would bother their parents. Lastly, scary Halloween decorations can make more than just little kids uncomfortable but older kids and adults. So that is why I think that Halloween decorations should not be scary.
