Nasa, moon, solar systems; this has now become a new class at Edgewood Junior High School for sixth graders, but other than the teaching that he does, many of his students don’t know much about him. We are here to clear the confusion. Mr. Driver teaches this brand new class.
St. Charles school in Bloomington
Mr. Driver is thirty-seven years old. Before going to college he went to Christian Academy of Indiana for high school. Even though this is his first year teaching at EJHS, he has taught at St. Charles for four years before this. Due to him not being at the middle school the full day, he shares a room with Mrs. Harbison in the 6th grade hallway next to Mrs. Ayers classroom. Overall, he teaches about one hundred students a day including high school and middle school.
Many people know that Mr. Driver teaches astronomy in middle school, but people realized that he didn’t just teach it for 7th and 8th graders. During periods 1-5, he teaches at the high school. He teaches earth/space, integrated chemistry, and physics. He would rate teaching astronomy an eight or nine out of ten. Mr. Driver states,” I have found that my 6th graders this year have been pretty bright. However, they are twice as silly as they are bright.” It seems that his students like his class, many have claimed that they enjoy his class and the activities.
Mr. Driver
As said before, he teaches earth/space, integrated chemistry, and physics at the high school. Even though this is his first year teaching at EJHS he has taught four years at the high school. He teaches 22 students in the middle school. A high schooler who has Mr. Driver as a teacher named Otis Freeman says, “Mr. Driver's lessons are easy to understand, and are even fun sometimes.”
After all this, have you learned more about Mr Driver? Nobody really gets to know their teachers that well. Which tells us that we need to learn more about our teachers. Before we leave them and never see them again. So hopefully we’ve all learned more about Mr. Driver then. If you have a 5th grade friend going into 6th grade next year make sure to tell them to check out this class!
