Jack Musselwhite is not only a student at Edgewood Junior High School, but also an athlete who cares very much about the sports he does and always tries his hardest. He is both very hard-working and dedicated to his sports and will continue to be the best version of himself!

Jack has always had a love for running, even when he was little. He started participating in cross country when he was in the sixth grade, but began running with his team at the age of 11. Jack runs daily after school with the rest of the cross-country team from 2:30 to 4:30. Jack states, “I love running because it is a mental sport and it's 1 on 1 with yourself, and it's fun!” He has run at 6 meets this season and has placed 1st at 3 of them, with his personal record this season being a time of 11:02. Jack states, “I'm happy I am placing first because I've been working at it all summer, and it's finally paying off.”
Jack Musselwhite started playing basketball when he was really young, and ever since then, he’s been hooked on the game and has shown everyone just how skilled he is. Jack states, “I really love playing basketball because I am on a team with some of my closest friends, and I love that we can work together and win together is also planning on trying out for the 8th grade boys basketball team for Edgewood Junior High School.

Jack got into track because he loved running, and it didn’t take long for everyone to notice how fast and determined he was. Just last season, he and his 4x8 relay team broke a new record for Edgewood Junior High School on our home turf last season. Jack participates in the 800m, 1600m, and 2400m events. He is planning to run track again in the spring as well.
In conclusion, Jack Musselwhite is a very hardworking athlete who is dedicated to his sports and always tries his hardest, not only in his sports but in school too! His determination and positive attitude make him a role model for his peers, and his commitment to improvement is easy to see both on the court and in the classroom!
