Tabs across the top of the page include Content, Discussions, Assignments, Quizzes, Grades, More Tools, Help, and CLA.
Click on the Content tab to reveal Topics navigation on the left.
You may search for a topic or click on each topic to reveal that topic in the reading pane on the right.
The number to the right of each topic indicates how many items are included in that topic.
Not all topics are visible to students. For example, Instructor Resources is only available to the instructor and includes resources for faculty, such as a link to the Center for Teaching and Learning and school or department information. Ask your chair or course lead for more information about Instructor Resources.
Note: Rubrics can be found under Content, Course Resources.
Click on the Discussions tab to reveal the Course Forum. More information about Discussions can be found in the Discussion section of this guide.
Use the Assignments tab to track and evaluate assignments in the Learning Environment.
The Assignments table displays assignments by dropbox and includes:
New Submissions: This column shows unread submissions.
Completed: This column shows the number of completed assignments to students ratio
Evaluated: This column shows the graded to the total number of submissions ratio
Feedback Published: This column shows the published to the total number of submission ratio
Change view options to see from 10 to 200 per page.
Click on each assignment to a view by User or by Submission.
View the Turnitin Similarity report percentage for each student submission.
A notation indicates when the feedback was submitted by the instructor.
You will also see if and when the feedback was read by the student.
From the assignment page, you can search for specific submissions. The search options provide a variety of parameters to narrow your search.
Once a search parameter has been selected, click on the search magnifying glass icon and the results will display below.
More information about evaluating student assignments can be found in the Grades section of this guide.
The quizzes tab provides quiz statistics.
Under statistics, review quiz performance data.
View the quiz listing by availability or by category.
Click on an individual quiz link to view User Stats, Question Stats and Question Details. This information can be exported to CSV or Excel files.
Instructors will not enter Quiz information in this tab. Manage Quizzes and the Question Library should never be used as all quiz set-ups are completed and maintained by the Curriculum and Innovations Team. There is no option available for faculty to set passwords for quizzes in the course. Settings, such as the number of attempts and availability dates, cannot be changed within the course. Any concerns with settings should be discussed with the Course Lead. More information about quizzes can be found in the Quizzes section of this guide.
The Grades tool displays student grades from all graded activities. Students can see individual grades with instructor comments for each grade item and overall comments to the class about the grade item. More about grades and grading is in the Grades section of this guide.
Instructors may view Learning Outcome Results by student by clicking on Results. Students may be emailed from this view. Edit Course Level Assessment is not available to PG Instructors.
