Recordings

Note: Seminar recordings cannot be downloaded to protect academic content. Recordings will be available for one year after the live session.

1. Click on the Cloud Recordings tab to display the list of seminar archives for the course.

2. Find the session you are looking for and click on the session name in the topic column or the files link in the file size column to access the recording details page for the session.

3. On the recording details page, the recording file can be accessed. 

Note: The chat transcript file is also shown on this screen. Currently, downloading the chat text file is restricted from this area. Please download the chat and live transcript text files from the live seminar before closing the session (see Access Chat Messages and Live Transcript Files for download instructions).

4. Clicking on the recording file will open the recording in a new tab.

5. Recording controls including play, pause, volume, speed, and full screen, are available at the bottom of the viewer.

6. The audio transcript for the session displays to the right of the recording. The transcript is searchable.

7. The chat messages for the session are displayed to the right of the recording.

8. Toggle between the audio transcript and chat messages by clicking on the tabs accordingly.

Chairs, course leads, and others who have access to student-facing courses in Brightspace may be able to view seminar recordings. 

Note: Registration will be required to view the recording. The user will be prompted to provide their name and email address when they access the recording. This is because Zoom is associated with the host and not the course.

2. Find the session you are looking for and click on the session name in the topic column or the files link in the file size column to access the recording details page for the session.

3. On the recording details page, the recording file can be accessed. 

4. Clicking on the recording file will open a new window and require you to add your name and email address to view the recording. 

5. Enter your name as it appears in Brightspace and your Purdue Global email address. 

6. Check the reCAPTCHA security box.

7. Click on the Register button to access the recording.

9. The audio transcript for the session displays to the right of the recording. The transcript is searchable.

10. The chat messages for the session are displayed to the right of the recording.

11. Toggle between the audio transcript and chat messages by clicking on the tabs accordingly.
