The Classlist displays the entire list of students and may be printed, saved to PDF, or saved to Google Drive by using the print icon. A green dot to the right of the student name indicates the student is currently active/online.
The Classlist provides access to Class Engagement, Enrollment Statistics, and Email Classlist. You can also search the class list with a variety of search parameters.
Click Class Engagement to display class data.
The Enrollment Statistics button opens an overview of the roles of the people in the classlist and displays names of students withdrawn from the class.
Click the Email Classlist button at the top of the page to email the entire classlist.
Email individual students by checking each box to the left of each name from the Classlist then clicking the Email envelope icon at top left of the list.
Note: Email sent from Brightspace will go to the student's University email account.
Groups is a tool for faculty to manage groups of students when a group assignment is part of the curriculum. Faculty will not use the Groups tool without a predetermined assignment or activity that is part of the course design.
If your course includes a group assignment, follow the instructions below to use the Groups management tool:
From the More Tools tab, select Groups from the drop-down. This will provide a listing of the groups that have been set up in the class. Select the first group.
Your class list will populate, and you can select the students that will go into that group.
Select each of the remaining groups and enroll users in the same way.
Once assignments have been established, you will also be able to review student enrollments via the Classlist.
Click on the down arrow next to the student's name and select View Group Enrollments.
When creating self-enrollment groups, faculty can specify the exact time enrollment is available.
If you have any questions about Groups in your class, your course lead or chair can provide additional information.
Surveys are not used in our courses. If a survey is desired for the course, please work with your Course Lead and school leadership to request that it be included in the curriculum.
This electronic portfolio is a collection of digital artifacts the user may collect and share with others. For more information check out the ePortfolio Student User Guide.
Access to your Faculty Gmail via Brightspace. Duo log in may be required.
For detailed instructions on using Zoom Seminar, view the Zoom Seminar section of this guide.
Quick Eval allows instructors to view all submitted assignments from various courses in one place without having to log into each class. More information can be found in the Grading section of this guide.
