Those points are EXCLUDED from the final calculated grade. The faculty cannot hide this gradebook item so students will see this item in the gradebook.
Scores are displayed in the gradebook but it is excluded the total points in the course.
To view a student's individual responses, go to My Media >Select Video Quiz > Analytics.
We recommend using Insert Stuff to share videos with students. The Insert Stuff tool is accessed by clicking on the video icon from any editing window in Brightspace and then scrolling down to “Insert Kaltura.” The Adding to Classes section of the site provides detailed instructions on how to add videos to your course.
Kaltura is just a recording tool, but the screen capture feature can be used to record a meeting if the meeting content is within the designated screen capture area. There is no way to create a link to a Kaltura video at this time, though the embed code could be shared with faculty and Gmail will create a clickable link within the embed code.

*These guidelines apply to Kaltura, Screencast-o-matic, Snag-It, and other video platforms.
Videos that are created during a course revision and are inserted into the master course would be owned by Purdue Global. These videos should not be shared by faculty with any non-Purdue students or staff.
If the faculty created a video and the content was created in connection with the course and education delivery, it would be owned by Purdue Global.
If the content created was meant as an educational enhancement e.g, to reinforce concepts or add something, not in the master course that the faculty believes is an enhancement, this content would be owned by the faculty member. Similarly, educational entertainment (artistic imagination) created for fun to enhance the learning experience, belongs to the faculty member.
Purdue Global’s general policy is that we should not be recording students. If there is a compelling reason to record, faculty should consult with their department chairs. If there is a recording, students must sign a release that gives permission and states how the video would be used. Faculty must ensure there are no FERPA violations.
If Purdue Global owns the content, the videos cannot be shared with any individual outside of Purdue. If faculty own the content, they can share it with others.
