Zoom licenses will be provisioned for instructors at course migration when the instructor has been assigned to a class.
Some instructors may receive an email invite with the subject "Zoom account activation" from the email "no-reply@zoom.us". This is a legitimate email. Please follow the prompts to activate your PG Zoom account.
To maintain a seamless student experience and ensure data security, all faculty members teaching at Purdue Global (PG) must use their PG Zoom account for any and all seminar meetings related to their teaching duties. This includes office hours and student consultations.
Using your PG Zoom account allows for:
Centralized Record Keeping: All meeting recordings and transcripts are stored securely within the PG system.
Enhanced Security: PG Zoom accounts offer advanced security features to protect sensitive student and institutional information.
Technical Support: Support and Solutions and the PG IT team can assist with any technical difficulties related to your Zoom account.
Please note: Using personal or other institutional Zoom accounts for PG teaching-related purposes is strictly prohibited.
Thank you for your cooperation in upholding the integrity and security of our virtual learning environment.
The sandbox course will not show on PG Campus. From any course in Brightspace, search from the course menu (grid or waffle icon) for "seminar sandbox.” This video highlights how to access the sandbox course.
Set up your own practice session from the seminar page under the More Tools menu of the sandbox course.
This checklist will help instructors ensure their Seminars run smoothly. You can make a copy, download, or print the checklist as needed.
