Multi-Profile Widget

The Multi-Profile Widget pulls information from the Brightspace User Profile section. The standard profile information includes options for a chosen name, email address, LinkedIn profile link, city/time zone, office hours, and a professional bio. Instructors can choose which information they want to share in their Brightspace User Profile. This information will populate the profile widget on the course homepage of all courses. 

Instructors will run through a brief setup of the widget the first time they access it in each class section.

Setting Up the Multi-profile Widget

The first time you use the multi-profile widget, you will need to complete a brief setup.  

1. From the course homepage, scroll down until you see the multi-profile widget. It will have the heading of Setup with two blue buttons: Settings and Do NOT Click.

   • Do NOT Click - Do not select this option. 

   • Settings will allow you to adjust the visibility of which instructors are visible and change the order in which they appear in the widget. If there are multiple Instructors in the course, they will all be listed here. 

2. Select Complete Setup when finished making modifications.

3. Once this setup activity is complete, the instructor’s details and any information they have put in their profile will be displayed.

Editing the Multi-Profile Widget

The Multi-Profile Widget can be modified by instructors. They will be able to add additional information, modify the visibility of instructors within the widget, and rearrange the order of instructors displayed. 

1. Selecting the menu from the Profile widget will give the options to Configure the widget.
