Currently, a known issue exists in the Grades tool when assessing a student with no submission. The Consistent Evaluation screen will launch a new tab. As a result, the grade value on the original Grades tab will not automatically update in the user interface when the grade is published. Due to this product gap and other advantages of using the Assignments tool, we recommend using the Assignments tool to begin the grading process and not the Grades tool.

Click the link for the specific Assignment folder.
If the Search Options are not displayed, click the Show Search Options link.

Click the magnifier icon in the search input box to update the search results.

If the assignment is submitted, the instructor should determine a CLA score even if the work receives a zero score for whatever reason. Leaving the score blank would indicate non-submission.
