Vote on Douglas Bean as a member of the Industrial Accident Board. 6-0

There was a discussion regarding Steven Rose , nominee for the Industrial Accident Board.

Councilor Manning informed the Council that she was putting all of her comments in writing but did mention her concern that this nominee had been passed over by the Industrial Accident Nominating Panel. Steven Rose was then allowed to remain on the Industrial Accident Board two years past his term, when the composition of the Nominating Panel changed.

Councilor Manning stated that she did not approve of the politicization of the process and that she would not be voting in favor of the nominee.

Councilor Devaney mentioned that she was happy that the Governor's Council receives report cards for nominees to the Industrial Accident Board.

Vote on nominee Steven Rose as a member of the Industrial Accident Board. 5-0.

Nomination of Heidi Brieger as an Associate Justice of the Superior Court. The hearing was scheduled for June 20th at 10:30 am.

Nomination of Paul Wilson as an Associate Justice of the Superior Court. The hearing was scheduled for June 20th at 1:00 pm.

The next meeting is June 13, 2012 at 12:00 pm.
