For my senior piece, I decided to go a different route theme wised. In English class I always found myself intrigued with the hero's journey plots and story telling. In classes I would start to doodle and even begin to write little parts of the stories in my head zoning out in class. This sparked an interest inside me so I decided to do a cover art for my story and my own created characters. The piece I made depicts aspects of other movies and stories I admired or wanted to emulate with a dramatic saga-like feel to it.
Thank you for the incredible 4 years at Dreyfoos and I wish the best for everyone.
As a visual arts student, lots of shows and big projects are to come senior year and to keep you from being stressed out and actually have the time to work, keeping up with your academic classes to get that out of the way can help tremendously. This year I attempted to get all my homework done the night it was assigned so I wouldn't have to worry about it later or procrastinate. This gave room for me personally to have a more creative free mind to work on art and was a big step in the right direction.
