I love creating worlds and environments for engaging storytelling, in this world the ruler is a seven year old boy and the landscape of the entire Earth has morphed into a mega mall. The protagonist, Georgie, hovers above in his run down trailer dragged into the air by a crane. Concept art and visual storytelling is my passion and I'm glad I have the ability to do it! The stars and Georgie were going to be animated but it compressed too much, https://youtu.be/mUEJUDGuZ8Q is where you can view it. (Right click and set the video to loop!)
Few of the things I'm interested in!
Thank you for the most amazing years of my life. I am so grateful to be in such a supportive and creative community of people from so many different backgrounds. Before Dreyfoos it was as if my life had ended before it had even begun and I'm am just so glad I've been given this opportunity to make a difference outside of my tiny house. These past few years have been so transformation and I have really developed into the person I am today because of it. Thank you to everyone who supported me through my challenges and loss. I have always been so appreciative of all the students who walk by me in the hallways and compliment my art as they pass and all the people who would watch my animations and laugh in the summer and spring shows. I wouldn't have been able to get as far as I have without this amazing community and all of the equally spectacular staff and students. Thank you!
A huge thank you to my directors and [adult_swim] crew on Tender Touches Season 3 who gave me such an amazing opportunity!
Thank you to the amazing teachers who let me experience something outside my small suburb and see snow for the first time!
And most of all, THANK YOU TO MY DOG BUDDY! He helped me through the most depressing times in my life and even though he's smelly I still love him.
Remember the time I was everybody in Las Meninas by Diego Velázquez? Crazy times.
(I wasn't here freshmen year, sorry people have this image of the year before that)
Okay so, you've made it past Junior year, which in my opinion was the hardest so.. good job! This year is going to be really difficult only because FAFSA makes it that way. Don't give up hope! There will be hardships throughout but always bring yourself back to your end goal! This year I've been able to work with [adult_swim] as many of you know, and the only advice I can give for getting those connections is don't be afraid to talk to people who may seem much higher above you, they're normal people! Be persistent and kinda annoying, I called in every day Mon-Thurs at 7PM for 2 years and it finally led somewhere so don't give up! Joke around with creators as mutuals and they will see you that way. Also, don't you ever take time out of your class to go on your phone instead of listening. Teachers are some of the greatest assets for making connections and I know for a fact LVR and Mrs. G have provided students with numerous opportunities throughout the year, the reason to go to art college isn't just to improve, a lot of people go based on connections alone. Talk to your teachers and tell them whats happening in your life, ask them how they are, give them gifts to show your appreciation, JUST BE KIND! Their job isn't to yell at you for being on your phone, take advantage of the amazing opportunities Dreyfoos has to offer because as someone who went to a public school that wasn't Dreyfoos up until freshman year, YOU SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN.
