Friendship bracelet, a symbol of lifelong companionship. Going into this process, I knew that I wanted my senior piece to be a reflection of my life at Dreyfoos. From the friendships and connections I have made to all that I have learned in both my academic and art classes, Dreyfoos will always remain a part of me. Just as you wear a friendship bracelet with pride and joy, I will carry everything I have gained from Dreyfoos in the same manner.
And just like the bracelets are knotted together, so are we as a Dreyfoos community. Not only do friendship bracelets embody and capture the essence of our friendships, but they can represent individual and unique personalities. Although my friends and I will be hundreds of miles away from each other, we will always be able to look down at our wrists and know that we are still connected.
SENIOR CLASS COUNCIL ~out of this world~ #2020!!
I know that this is definitely not how any of us expected to be ending our high school careers, but it is truly one of a kind. Prior to entering high school everyone told me to enjoy it while it lasts because it goes by in the blink of an eye. It didn’t feel like it then, but they were so right. I can’t believe that my time as a student at Dreyfoos has come to an end.
I would like to start by saying thank you. Coming to Dreyfoos I didn’t know anyone. I was alone and scared and nervous that I made the wrong choice picking an arts school over a place where I would get the typical high school experience. I can now say confidently that I made the right choice. I found lifelong best friends and mentors who have taught me a great deal and I know will always be there to support me. We have been through quite a lot together as a class, both good and bad. Even though we missed out on a lot of traditions, we were still lucky enough to experience four unbelievable pep rallies, participate in two lip dubs, go out to City Place lunch and create countless memories.
Best of luck in all of your future endeavors!
Sincerely,
Hailey Reiter

For starters, I would like to congratulate you all on surviving junior year! You’re now the big man on campus!! However, it goes by REALLY fast, so don’t take it for granted. Before you know it, you are going to be writing your letters to the class of 2022. Although senior year is very stressful, draining and hectic, make sure that you are enjoying each day with your friends and taking advantage of everything Dreyfoos has to offer. It’s really easy to get wrapped up in the whole college process and forget that these are your last few months seeing your friends and family everyday. Make the most out of each day!!!
Senior year can be very emotional. I know it’s cliche, but just remember that everything happens for a reason. I’m not going to lie to you, the first semester of senior is definitely a rough one. College applications can be very tedious and frustrating. I would highly recommend starting early and getting as much done as you possibly can before the additional pressure from schoolwork.
Best Wishes,
Hailey Reiter
