Statement:
My family means everything to me, so for my last project I really wanted to put all of us together. The title " I Love You to the Moon and Back" is from a sign my grandpa gave me when I was little, and every time I look at it in my room I am reminded of the enormous love I have for my family and the enormous love they have for me. Whenever I see the phrase it reminds me of them.
I made sure to emphasize color in these portraits in order to visually communicate how much color and happiness they add to my life. I didn't want to make the backgrounds too busy, so instead I added a quiet stitch pattern so you could focus on the subjects. The stitching also gives a cozy, comfortable, "homey" feel. I used this opportunity to experiment as well, trying new methods of shading and new uses of color.
I am so grateful to have you in my life Mom, Sawyer, and Zach, and to receive such unending live from you all.
Staying after school was always a blast!
I am going to miss you all so much!
Dreyfoos has given me the best high school experience I could ever dream of, and wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever.
Thank you to all of my teachers! You have impacted my life so significantly and made me a better person. Thank you Mrs. Cleary you made my transition to a big new high school so comfortable was so nice seeing a familiar face! Thank you Coach Long, in your class I made some of my favorite memories and I met my best friend. Ms. Ray I’m so happy I got to start and end my time at Dreyfoos with you. You’ve aways been so kind to me and my brothers! Mrs. Beckel I looked forward to your class at the end of every even day! You are so genuinely sweet and I love talking with you. Mr. Johnston I love the conversations we all had in class and because of you I no longer fear presentations! Mr. Armetta thank you for your encouragement and of course your humor always made my day so much better! Ms. Ramos, thank you for all of your support and patience and for being such a fun energy in my day! Thank you Sra. Muszick for being so understanding and sincere. I loved your class and I will miss you and everyone in it dearly. Thank you Mrs. Rodriguez in student services! You have always been so kind to me and I loved seeing you in the morning. Thank you Mr. Carson for always being there for me, and having my back, and thank you to Officer O for keeping us so safe!
Thank you to my friends who brighten my day and made my time at Dreyfoos truly magical, and of course having both my brothers in the same school was pretty awesome too! Thank you Juliana for being my best friend through all my 3 and a half years at Dreyfoos. Thank you for making me laugh till I cry, and always being there for me no matter what. We clicked since day 1 and I’m so happy I got to spend high school with someone as wonderful as you.
To all my classmates, teachers, and staff, you all changed my life and given me priceless memories! Thank you for everything you've done! It's been an honor and a privilege to be part of the Dreyfoos family and legacy!

Hi Juniors! Congratulations on being Seniors next year! I know everyone is going to talk about procrastination, or everyone is going to tell you how everyone will talk about procrastination, but they're not wrong.
Sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed with work, especially in Senior year with college applications and everything, and you forget where you are. I found myself lost in overthinking and before I knew it, I looked up and the year had been ended early.
So my advice is to step back often, appreciate the moment you are in, and soak up the little things because those always are the best memories.
Look around, your talent brought you to a school like no other and I promise you you will look back with pride! Know you helped make the school what it is because in the end, Dreyfoos without the people is just buildings. Its the students, teachers, and staff that make it so exceptional.
Dreyfoos opens many doors for you in the future, but in this next year, enjoy being on the inside of them and all it has to offer!
You guys are awesome and you're going to have so much fun!
So much love,
Tessa Williams
