Although representing my brother, a firefighter, I intend for my piece to speak to the multitude of and healthcare workers and first responders. I began making this piece before the pandemic of COVID-19 in which my original plan was to represent the bravery and courage that defines what it means to be a firefighter. However, I have come to make expand the meaning of this piece. For all the courageous and dedicated workers who work around the clock to ensure our safety, especially in times of this pandemic, I want my piece to express my "thank you" and gratitude.
Thank you to all of my teachers, classmates, school staff, and friends for making my past (almost) four years at Dreyfoos filled with amazing memories, lessons, and experiences.
Teachers & School Staff:
Thank you, thank you, thank you. My successes and growth would not be accomplished without the encouragement, resources, and sheer care you have provided me with over the years. I appreciate you and the hard work you put in to make Dreyfoos the school it is; your efforts will not be forgotten by me.
Classmates & Friends:
Knowing many of you as early as 6th grade from Bak, I feel so connected with my class of 346 students. Seeing how far we all have come together over the years, growing into new versions of ourselves, I am confident that each one of us will excel in whatever path we choose to take in our lives. Good luck class of 2020, go Jaguars!
Sincerely,
Francesca Cocilovo

The end of your four years at Dreyfoos is just around the corner!
Take this year to understand yourself, your priorities, and your future goals. With that being said, also realize it is 100% OK and 100% normal for you to not know what path you want to take in life. We are 16-19 years old, our lives have not even started yet, so there is plenty of time to grow and succeed. Do not let failure consume you.
As amazing as Dreyfoos is, filled with students that posses an array of talent and gift that is unique, do not let the accomplishments of others compare to yours. You are not a replica of any person and should strive to embrace your own assets.
Use this year and all of its accompanying resources to explore different possibilities for your future. Try out for that sport team you've been wondering about, take that dual enrollment class at PBSC, or just start a hobby/project that has interested you. Senior year is hectic, but it is also a year of creativity and self discovery.
DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. Senior year does not have to be stressful, set aside time to make a list of things to do, big and small, and cross them off as you go. Set manageable daily goals that are doable and the larger tasks will become easier. Get an agenda! Use a calendar! Set reminders on your phone! Organization is key to a smooth senior year.
Lastly, you've got this!
Sincerely,
Francesca Cocilovo
