Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
I hope that all of our families have a wonderful spring break and safe travels if you are vacationing! The spring break holiday runs Friday, March 29th - Monday, April 8th. Students return to school on Tuesday, April 9th. Please see the important dates below for events that are happening in April/May. It will be an eventful April and May with lots of field trips, classroom activities, and end of the year celebrations. It continues to be a pleasure watching your children learn, develop, and grow throughout the school year! If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400.

April 23rd - 3rd Grade AIR Testing for Reading (Part 1)
April 24th - 3rd Grade AIR Testing for Reading (Part 2)
April 30th - 3rd Grade AIR Testing for Math
Week of April 29th - Dyslexia screening initiative, is scheduled for this spring and targets all students in grades one through three. Testing is slated to start during the week of April 29th. The assessment procedure will be communicated to families to keep parents informed throughout the screening process. We have created a matrix that is a valuable resource, ensuring transparency and clarity at every stage of the assessment journey. These tests' results, teacher observations, and classroom assessments help guide instruction and learning support. Students will be given the AimsWebPlus Reading Assessment screener. We will use this screening tool to assess your child’s reading skills. Additional parent communication with be forthcoming.

Lunchroom volunteers are needed at Falls-Lenox including Ramadan lunch volunteers. Please take a moment to review the requests below and sign up for the event(s) that best fit your schedule and interest. Additionally, keep an eye out for SignUps to volunteer for Field Day.

Falls-Lenox Daily Morning Show
In collaboration with Officer Swope, the following guidelines will help ensure the safety of our students. We appreciate your patience and help!
Children should enter/exit vehicles on the passenger side (directly near the sidewalk) only.
Please pull all the way forward to the white sign that says, "pull up here", so that we can keep the line moving.
Parents and Caregivers should remain in their vehicles.
Please exercise caution and drive slowly when pulling around cars that are loading/unloading to ensure the lane is clear.

School Times:
School Day: 8:00-2:35
Tardy Bell: 7:55 a.m. (Students must be in their classrooms by 8:00 a.m. Students entering classrooms after 8:00 a.m. will be marked tardy.)
Office Hours: 7:30-3:30 (You can leave a message after 3:30 p.m.)
Note: If your child is a car-rider, doors open at 7:35 a.m. and are open until 7:55 a.m. The side doors are locked at 7:55 a.m. If your child is coming to school after 7:55 a.m., they will need to enter through the front doors. If your child plans to eat breakfast, please have them at school by 7:45. Students cannot enter prior to 7:35 am.
School Fees:
Grades 1-2: $90.00 Total
Grade 3: has an additional $25 for a Chromebook Device fee
$7.00 - Art supplies
$16.00 - Field Trips/activities
$25.00 - Technology (Reading A-Z, RAZ Kids, SeeSaw, Compass Learning)
$42.00 - Instructional (Bridges Math Workbook, Science Fusion Workbook, Handwriting workbook, Scholastic News, etc.)

Clinic Policy - Please do not send your child to school with a fever, diarrhea, or more than 2 of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, chills, fever, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, headache, diarrhea. Students cannot return to school after a fever or diarrhea until they have gone 24 hours symptoms free (without tylenol for a fever). Call off your child using our attendance line: 440-427-6411.
