Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
I hope that everyone enjoyed the snow day and is staying warm! We are looking forward to hosting the Wheelchair Cavs next Friday as part of the annual “Celebrating Differences/Disability Awareness Week”. The Wheelchair Cavaliers visit local schools and hospitals to talk about overcoming disabilities and feeling empowered. We are also still running our poster contest! This is an optional activity that can be done at home and is a chance for children to be creative. The theme should be generally related to one of the following topics: celebrating differences, including others, being a good friend or inforamtion about a specific disability. Posters are due to Robin School, School Pyschologist, by January 29th. A winner from each grade level will be selected. Students should have their full name and teacher name written on the back of their poster. All students will be given a certificate of appreciation. Winners will have their creation displayed in the lobby, will be featured on the morning show, and will have their picture posted to the district blog!
We are also excited to announce that in partnership with the ECC/FL PTA, we are bringing in a local author for assemblies during Right to Read Week in March! If you would like to pre-order one of her books, you can do so by February 1st. Students will then have an opportunity to have their book signed by the author when she visits! Pre-order book information from PTA can be found in the newsletter below!
We have brought back our lunchroom helpers! The link to sign up to be a lunchroom helper can be found HERE - Falls-Lenox Lunchroom Volunteers.
Check out the "Community Connections" tab for information about community actvities and events for kids!
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa M. Williams

Car Riders: If you bring your child to school in the morning, please leave a space in the line by Kids First, so that cars are able to get through and exit. We have had a few parents who are dropping their kids off at Kids First report that they are getting blocked in. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in the morning and at dismissal!
