Falls-Lenox Primary School Newsletter
October 27, 2023
Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
On Tuesday, October 31st, we will be having a Parade of Costumes. You are invited to join us outside the front of the school, the parade will begin at 1:15 and run for about 15 minutes. The students will exit the west end of the building, parade on the sidewalk that is along Bagley in the front of the school and enter the building at the east end near Kids First. Please park on the sides of the building (west end or east end by Kids First) in lined parking spots only, parking along the curb/fire lane is prohibited. It may be helpful to carpool, as parking will be limited. During the parade, no cars are to enter or exit in the front (oval area) of the building. Please plan on lining the sidewalks and the student’s walking route. In the event of bad weather, the parade will be canceled. We will be watching the weather and plan on sending communication out via Seesaw by noon in the event that we need to cancel the parade. Due to the capacity of our building, the party volunteers will be limited to room parents.
We would like to take the scare out of Halloween and focus on the creativity and fun of this holiday. Please make sure your child’s costume is appropriate for our Primary School. Below you will find some guidelines for costumes that may help you prepare for this fall event. Thank you in advance for your help with this very special day!
Costume Guidelines:
1. No weapons (real or fake) are allowed at school. We do not permit swords, guns, knives, or weapons like toys at any time.
2. Please make sure that long trains are not worn as a part of the costume.
3. Masks can only be worn during the Halloween party time and not on the school bus.
4. No face makeup should be worn to school.
5. Costumes should not be worn to school. Children will be given time to change into their costumes just before we begin our Halloween parade.
In addition, we will be hosting our families for Family Wellness Night on November 6th, and honoring our Veterans during a Veteran's Day Program on November 10th! Please see below for the RSVP information for both events. We are asking students to donate change in order to "make a sacrifice" to our veterans. These donations will go towards the event!
Check out the "Community Connections" tab for information about community actvities and events for kids! Information about the daddy/daughter dance sponsored by "All Pro Dads" has been recently added.
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa M. Williams
Falls-Lenox Principal
