Falls-Lenox Primary School Newsletter
February 23, 2024
Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
Next week we will be starting our "One School, One Book" program, and we are excited to announce that our book for this school year is, The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Teachers will be reading the book aloud to their classes throughout the months of February and March. The program builds a sense of community, encourages students to practice their listening and speaking skills, and builds excitement around reading. This is a great opportunity for our school and community to come together through literacy! The school-wide read-aloud will culminate during Right to Read Week the week of March 18th with special classroom activities! If you would like to read along with your child, the reading schedule can be found below.
Right to Read Week Volunteer Requests:
Help transform the halls of Falls-Lenox for a one of a kind Right to Read Week experience for your student(s)! Volunteers are needed to assist with the creation of decorations and set up next week (Feb. 26 - March 1, 2024). Decoration creation is no more than tracing, basic scissor and glue skills... no need to be an artist to assist! We'll be decorating after school on March 14, 2024 and will need 10 volunteers to help with this endeavor. (Feel free to bring your older student(s) with you. We had an OFIS helper for Polar Express Day and it was great!) Sign up here: Falls-Lenox Right to Read Week decor and set up volunteers
The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to Falls-Lenox for Right to Read Week (March 18 - 22). Volunteers will be needed to assist with the book fair during the week and during Family Literacy Night on March 21. Sign up here: Falls-Lenox Book Fair Volunteers
Our February ECC/FL PTA meeting is next week, Tuesday, February 27th at 6:30 p.m. at Falls-Lenox. We hope to see you there!
We have brought back our lunchroom helpers! The link to sign up to be a lunchroom helper can be found HERE - Falls-Lenox Lunchroom Volunteers.

In collaboration with Officer Swope, the following guidelines will help ensure the safety of our students. We appreciate your patience and help!
Children should enter/exit vehicles on the passenger side (directly near the sidewalk) only.
Please pull all the way forward to the white sign that says, "pull up here", so that we can keep the line moving.
Parents and Caregivers should remain in their vehicles.
Please exercise caution and drive slowly when pulling around cars that are loading/unloading to ensure the lane is clear.
