Falls-Lenox Primary School Newsletter
December 15, 2023
Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
I hope that everyone has had a great week! Next week is the last week before winter break, and we will be having a Winter Spirit Week! Monday is holiday head gear day, Tuesday is grinch day, and the rest of the schedule can be found on the flier below.
Winter Break - Thursday, December 21st is the last day for staff and students. There is no school on Friday, December 22nd and school resumes on Monday, January 8th. Looking for something fun to do over winter break?! PTA is sponsoring a fundraiser at the North Olmsted Chuck E. Cheese on Friday, December 29th from 3-9 p.m. 20% of all event sales will go to our ECC/FL PTA!
Just a friendly reminder that as the weather turns cold, please make sure to send your child to school dressed for the weather - with heavy coats, hats, gloves and appropriate shoes or boots. Students go outside for recess when the 'real feel' temperatue is 26 degrees and above. Also, if your child is missing a clothing item (coat, hat, hoodie, etc.), please have him/her check the lost and found in the cafeteria. Lost and found items are hanging across the windows; there are lots of lost items in need of their homes!
Lastly, We will be bringing back lunchroom helper volunteers in January. The link to sign up to be a lunchroom helper can be found HERE - Falls-Lenox Lunchroom Volunteers
Check out the "Community Connections" tab for information about community actvities and events for kids!
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa M. Williams
Falls-Lenox Principal

Right to Read Week Pre-Order!
Local author, Kadijah Fair, will be visiting the ECC and Falls-Lenox during their respective Right to Read weeks. Her book, "Oh Khalil vs. Kindergarten Chaos" tells the tale of Oh Khalil and his friends, Braxton, Evie, and Jasper*, on an immersive journey through Ohville as they reflect on their Kindergarten Chaos memories before the start of their first-grade year. Follow along as they talk about the challenges they faced and how they persevered through laughter, togetherness, and learning.
The Oh Khalil book series inspires young readers to be creative and curious by embracing imagination and uniqueness. This series gages children of all ages and highlights diversity, identity, and storytelling. Each book has learning activities and other educational features at the end.
*Jasper's character is a part of the Deaf community. This book includes words and phrases in American Sign Language. Oh Khalil, Ltd. worked in collaboration with a certified RID American Sign Language interpreter.
