Falls-Lenox Primary School Newsletter

Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
We had a great week celebrating Halloween at Falls-Lenox! A special thank you to our room parents who coordinated the parties and to our amazing staff for their creative costumes! If your child got way more candy than they can eat; we are hosting a candy drive. Students can bring in extra halloween candy (there is a box in the lobby) that will be donated to the Applewood Center.
This week teachers sent out a sign-up genius for Parent-Teacher Conferences which will take place from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 16th and Monday, November 20th. If your child is in title one tutoring, you can also sign up for a conference with your child's reading tutor. The Bookfair will also take place in the library during conferences.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the ECC/FL RAZE CRAZE fundraiser. The PTA raised over $20,000 that will go toward field trips and activities for our students.
Next week, we will be hosting our families for Family Wellness Night on November 6th, and honoring our Veterans during a Veteran's Day Program on November 10th! Please see below for the RSVP information for both events. We are asking students to donate change in order to "make a sacrifice" to our veterans. These donations will go towards the event! We will be offering babysitting on the evening of Wellness Night.
A friendly reminder that there is no school for students on Tuesday, November 7th, as this is a staff learning day.
Check out the "Community Connections" tab for information about community actvities and events for kids! Information about the daddy/daughter dance sponsored by "All Pro Dads" has been recently added.
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa M. Williams
Falls-Lenox Principal

What was the hardest rule to follow today?
Tell me something you know today that you didn't know yesterday.
