Thank you to all of our special guests who attended Donuts with Dudes this week! Next week, we are having a spirit week, as we are celebrating College and Career Awareness Week. April 23rd - 3rd Grade AIR Testing for Reading (Part 1)
April 24th - 3rd Grade AIR Testing for Reading (Part 2)
April 30th - 3rd Grade AIR Testing for Math
Week of April 29th - Dyslexia screening initiative, is scheduled for this spring and targets all students in grades one through three. Testing is slated to start during the week of April 29th. The assessment procedure will be communicated to families to keep parents informed throughout the screening process. We have created a matrix that is a valuable resource, ensuring transparency and clarity at every stage of the assessment journey. These tests' results, teacher observations, and classroom assessments help guide instruction and learning support. Students will be given the AimsWebPlus Reading Assessment screener. We will use this screening tool to assess your child’s reading skills. Additional parent communication with be forthcoming.

This Month in Guidance
KIWANIS TERRIFIC KIDS
The Kiwanis Terrific Kids student group at Falls-Lenox is proudly leading a collection for animal care supplies to support our local animal shelter, Berea ARF. The collection drive will be from April 29th to May 3rd in the Falls-Lenox lobby. Donation items include: dry or canned dog and cat food, dog and cat treats, and new leashes, Kongs, bowls, or toys. The animal shelter is also happy to accept donations of liquid hand soap, laundry or dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and trash bags. THANK YOU for donating items to Berea ARF that can make a big difference to all their animals!
ECC/FL PTA News
FLECC PTA's final dine and donate event at Chuck E. Cheese in North Olmsted is Friday, April 19 from 3:00p-9:00p. Mention FLECC PTA at the register each time you make a purchase and 20% of sales will be donated to our PTA unit! (NOTE: kiosk sales do not count towards our fundraiser) Flyers with vouchers for 10 free play points will be sent home with students sometime next week. This event is open to all! Additional "free play point" vouchers are available if you have non-FLECC students joining you. Please email fallslenoxecc@gmail.com to arrange pick up. We hope to see you there!
A few things to note:
- When you make any transaction that day (food, game play, etc..), be sure to tell them you’re with the FLECCC PTA fundraiser!
- As an added bonus, for guests who have not already downloaded the Chuck E. Cheese App, you can do so (at least 24 hours in advance) to receive 500 FREE e-Tickets as a welcome gift!!
-Once you download the app, be sure to wait until you’ve arrived at Chuck E Cheese on event day to “redeem” the FREE eTickets.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS
Lunchroom volunteers are needed at Falls-Lenox including Ramadan lunch volunteers. Please take a moment to review the requests below and sign up for the event(s) that best fit your schedule and interest. Additionally, keep an eye out for SignUps to volunteer for Field Day.

Falls-Lenox Daily Morning Show
In collaboration with Officer Swope, the following guidelines will help ensure the safety of our students. We appreciate your patience and help!
Children should enter/exit vehicles on the passenger side (directly near the sidewalk) only.
Please pull all the way forward to the white sign that says, "pull up here", so that we can keep the line moving.
Parents and Caregivers should remain in their vehicles.
Please exercise caution and drive slowly when pulling around cars that are loading/unloading to ensure the lane is clear.

School Times:
School Day: 8:00-2:35
Tardy Bell: 7:55 a.m. (Students must be in their classrooms by 8:00 a.m. Students entering classrooms after 8:00 a.m. will be marked tardy.)
Office Hours: 7:30-3:30 (You can leave a message after 3:30 p.m.)
Note: If your child is a car-rider, doors open at 7:35 a.m. and are open until 7:55 a.m. The side doors are locked at 7:55 a.m. If your child is coming to school after 7:55 a.m., they will need to enter through the front doors. If your child plans to eat breakfast, please have them at school by 7:45. Students cannot enter prior to 7:35 am.
School Fees:
Grades 1-2: $90.00 Total
Grade 3: has an additional $25 for a Chromebook Device fee
$7.00 - Art supplies
$16.00 - Field Trips/activities
$25.00 - Technology (Reading A-Z, RAZ Kids, SeeSaw, Compass Learning)
$42.00 - Instructional (Bridges Math Workbook, Science Fusion Workbook, Handwriting workbook, Scholastic News, etc.)

Clinic Policy - Please do not send your child to school with a fever, diarrhea, or more than 2 of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, chills, fever, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, headache, diarrhea. Students cannot return to school after a fever or diarrhea until they have gone 24 hours symptoms free (without tylenol for a fever). Call off your child using our attendance line: 440-427-6411.
