Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
We had a beautiful day for Field Day today! Thank you to our PTA for helping to organize and run this fun day for our students! They had a blast!
As the school year is coming to a close, I want to thank all of our families for your support. It was a terrific year, and it is an honor to serve as your child's school principal. Our students have made so much growth academically, socially, and emotionally, and it is truly a joy to see how far they have come and all they can do! Good luck to our third graders as they enter the Intermediate School and beyond! We will look forward to seeing our incoming second and third graders in the fall! Parents of Falls -Lenox students will receive an email on or around August 13th with the name of your child's teacher for the new school year. We no longer post class lists for privacy/safety reason. Also, Open House/Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18th (3rd grade 3:00 p.m.; 2nd grade 4:15 p.m.; 1st grade 5:30 p.m.)
A special thank you to our PTA for organizing Field Day! I also want to thank our PTA for providing our third graders with pizza and snacks for the Third Grade Picnic, which will take place on June 2nd at 12:30 p.m. on the playground (weather permitting). Please enter through the front doors and check in with Officer Ketterer upon arrival. Students should bring a blanket or towel to sit on. In the event of rain, the picnic will be moved indoors and a SeeSaw message will be sent out.
I am often asked what parents can do with their children over the summer, and the best thing you can do is have your child read! A child can grow an entire reading level by reading over the summer, and on the contrary can lose skills if they are not reading regularly. The Olmsted Falls library will be starting its Summer Reading Program, which offers a great opportunity for children to earn incentives for reading and get to pick out new books by visiting the library! Dear Parent or Guardian,
As the school year comes to a close, please be advised that all student medications currently held in the school clinic must be picked up by June 2, 2026 before 3 PM. Per school policy, we cannot store medications over the summer, and we are not permitted to send medications home in a student’s backpack.

Authorized Adults Only: A parent, guardian, or designated emergency contact must sign for the medication.
Inhalers & EpiPens: Please remember to collect emergency medications, even if they were rarely used.
Disposal Policy: Unless other arrangements are made, any medications remaining after 3:00 PM on June 2, 2026 will be safely disposed of according to medical waste protocols.

If your child will require medication during the upcoming school year, please keep the following in mind:
Forms for the next school year can be found on the school website at https://sites.google.com/ofcs.net/clinic/medical-conditions or picked up in the Clinic.
New Paperwork: A new Medication Authorization Form must be completed for every school year.
Signatures: Forms for prescription medications must be signed by your child's healthcare provider and the parent or legal guardian.
Expiration Dates: Please check that any medication brought in next August has an expiration date that extends through the end of the school year if possible.

🍎Summer Meal Program🥗
We’re grateful to North Olmsted City Schools for inviting us to participate in their free summer meal program beginning Monday, June 8th. All children ages 1–18 can receive a free hot, nutritious meal at any of their three meal locations. Participating helps support and fund North Olmsted’s nutrition department and they are happy to serve you. To view meal locations and the menu, please click HERE.

We're Teaming Up with the Cleveland Browns for a Special School Attendance Program!
The Falls-Lenox attendance line number is: 440-427-6411. A parent/guardian must call the Attendance Line each & every day his/her student(s) will be absent from school.
The following information must be provided: Student name, reason for absence, and parent/guardian name and contact phone number. Students will be considered truant from school if parent/guardian contact is not received. In the event a parent/guardian neglects to notify the main office of an absence, a written note must be provided upon return to school. All written verification must be received in the main office immediately upon the student’s arrival to school. Please refer to the student handbook posted on our website for specific information regarding excused and unexcused absences.

The Stay in the Game! program is all about helping students come to school every day, ready to learn and grow. Why? Because being in school regularly makes a BIG difference—especially for our youngest learners! When students miss too many days, it can be hard to catch up on learning, build friendships, and stay connected.

School Day: 8:00-2:35
Tardy Bell: 7:55 a.m. (Students must be in their classrooms by 8:00 a.m. Students entering classrooms after 8:00 a.m. will be marked tardy.)
Office Hours: 7:30-3:30 (You can leave a message after 3:30 p.m.)
Note: If your child is a car-rider, doors open at 7:35 a.m. and are open until 7:55 a.m. The side doors are locked at 7:55 a.m. If your child is coming to school after 7:55 a.m., they will need to enter through the front doors. If your child plans to eat breakfast, please have them at school by 7:45. Students cannot enter prior to 7:35 am.

Clinic Policy - Please do not send your child to school with a fever, diarrhea, or more than 2 of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, chills, fever, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, headache, diarrhea. Students cannot return to school after a fever, vomitting, or diarrhea until they have gone 24 hours symptoms free (without Tylenol for a fever). Call off your child using our attendance line: 440-427-6411.
School Fees - School Fees have been posted to your students account. According to district policy. chool fees must be paid in order to attend field trips Fees can be paid using https://payschoolscentral.com/ or by sending cash or check in with your student.
