Falls-Lenox Primary School Newsletter
November 7, 2025
Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
Tuesday, November 11th is our Veteran's Day Program and wear red, white, and blue day. Thank you to all of our students who donated spare change. These donations go toward the treat bags that Veterans will be given at the end of the program. Children who have a veteran present will attend the program with their guest. The program will then be live streamed into classrooms for the rest of the students to watch.
Our Kiwanis Terrific Kids is hosting a Food Drive this month. Please see the flier below for information about specific food items needed. This food will be used for families in our Bulldog Community. Students can donate items to the boxes in the front lobby.
Please mark your calendars! We hope you can join us this coming Tuesday, November 11th at 6:00 PM in the Falls-Lenox Primary School East Gym for the first of two scheduled community forums on the future of our school facilities.
With the help of a dedicated committee of community stakeholders, Olmsted Falls City Schools has been working to develop a Master Facilities Plan to guide the future of our buildings. The district’s Facilities Master Planning Committee will provide updates on their work to date and gather additional input from community residents. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Teachers will be sending out the sign-ups for Parent-Teacher Conferences which will take place from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 20th and Monday, November 24th. If your child is in title one tutoring, you can also sign up for a conference with your child's reading tutor. The Scholastic Bookfair will be set up in the library during conferences; stop in and shop just in time for the holidays! Benefits Based Accountability
Thank you to everyone who completed the recent Parent Feedback Survey. We have analyzed the results and the following themes were identified as areas that Falls-Lenox could better serve your child. Social/Emotional Learning and Interaction, Academic Challenge/Rigor, Parent/Staff Communication, and Academic Support Services. Based on your feedback, we are focusing on the following goals at Falls-Lenox Primary School:
Student Learning and Readiness:
Aligned to Need: We will design differentiated learning that is tailored to individual student needs. This includes enrichment for students needing challenges and support for students needing intervention.
Student Readiness: Own the Work: We will support student ownership of their efforts and the quality of their work products. We will provide students with opportunities to share their work with people who are important to them.
Students do relevant, interesting, meaningful work: We will consistently design engaging work that interests, challenges, and satisfies learners.
Safety and Well Being:
Well Being: Respect for Self and Others: We will help students learn, model, and demonstrate the ability to show respect for themselves and others through appropriate social interactions.
Community Connections:
Effective Systems: Stakeholder Understanding: We will support stakeholder understanding of where we are and are not yet effective, and engage with parents as advocates and partners.
Parents as Partners: We will create high impact family engagement and meaningful parent collaborations in support of student benefit.

In the event a parent/guardian neglects to notify the main office of an absence, a written note must be provided upon return to school. Please refer to the student handbook posted on our website for specific information regarding excused and unexcused absences.
Dear Families
We’re kicking off something exciting this year at Olmsted Falls City Schools—and we want YOU on our team! We’re proud to announce our new partnership with the Cleveland Browns Foundation as part of the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network.
The Stay in the Game! program is all about helping students come to school every day, ready to learn and grow. Why? Because being in school regularly makes a BIG difference—especially for our youngest learners! When students miss too many days, it can be hard to catch up on learning, build friendships, and stay connected.
It’s a statewide program that works with schools and families to help kids:
Build strong attendance habits
Stay excited about school
Celebrate small wins and progress along the way
And yes—there will be fun events, surprises, and special moments throughout the year inspired by our hometown football team, the Cleveland Browns!
Missing just 2 days a month adds up to over 3 weeks of missed learning each year.
Regular routines help young children feel safe, confident, and successful.
Showing up every day builds the habits and skills that last a lifetime.
We know that life can be busy, and sometimes things come up. That’s why we’re here to support you with resources, encouragement, and creative solutions to help your child “stay in the game” all year long.
Let’s make this school year one full of learning, growth, and Bulldog spirit! When we work together, great things happen—for our kids and our community.
Thanks for being part of our team!
Go Browns! Go Bulldogs!
Sincerely,
Lisa Williams
