Falls-Lenox Primary School Newsletter
Sept. 5, 2025
Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
It has been a great week at Falls-Lenox! Students are doing a great job learning routines and procedures throughout the school day!
Thursday is red, white, and blue day in honor of Patriot's Day (9/11). We do not talk specifically with students about the events of 9/11, as it is not developmentally appropriate, however we use the day to talk about the importance of our fire and police men and women who help keep us safe.
Next week, students will be begin taking the Map Test (Map stands for Measure of Academic Progress) for Math. Students take the Map Test on a Chromebook, and the assessment measures both achievement and growth and provides teachers with detailed information that they use to inform instruction. The Map Test is administered three times per year (fall, winter, spring) and reports will be emailed home to families. Teachers will also be administering the D.R.A. (Developmental Reading Assessment). These reading assessments are administered one-on-one with each child and allow the teacher to observe the child reading and note areas of strength and need.
Please check out the Community Connections tab (click on the three lines in the top corner) for information about additional Olmsted Falls and community based extra-curricular activities for your child.
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa M. Williams
Falls-Lenox Principal
We are looking for Lego donations for students to use during Maker's Space (students participate in Maker's Space as part of their technology special.) If you have Legos that can be donated, there will be a box in the vestibule where they can be donated.

Dear Families
We’re kicking off something exciting this year at Olmsted Falls City Schools—and we want YOU on our team! We’re proud to announce our new partnership with the Cleveland Browns Foundation as part of the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network.
The Stay in the Game! program is all about helping students come to school every day, ready to learn and grow. Why? Because being in school regularly makes a BIG difference—especially for our youngest learners! When students miss too many days, it can be hard to catch up on learning, build friendships, and stay connected.
It’s a statewide program that works with schools and families to help kids:
Build strong attendance habits
Stay excited about school
Celebrate small wins and progress along the way
And yes—there will be fun events, surprises, and special moments throughout the year inspired by our hometown football team, the Cleveland Browns!
Missing just 2 days a month adds up to over 3 weeks of missed learning each year.
Regular routines help young children feel safe, confident, and successful.
Showing up every day builds the habits and skills that last a lifetime.
We know that life can be busy, and sometimes things come up. That’s why we’re here to support you with resources, encouragement, and creative solutions to help your child “stay in the game” all year long.
Let’s make this school year one full of learning, growth, and Bulldog spirit! When we work together, great things happen—for our kids and our community.
Thanks for being part of our team!
Go Browns! Go Bulldogs!
Sincerely,
Lisa Williams
Principal
