For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with a data set about what types of meat are consumed and where. The data set also includes the value of different types of meat. The source for this data is the OECD
I decided to work with this dataset because I found it interesting to see how different places around the world consumed different meats. I also think that it is interesting to see how different countries are similar and different.
In my visualization, the data is represented as a scatter plot of the different countries and the type of meat they consume most. It also shows the value of the meat.
To interact with the visualization, try hovering over a dot to see the meat and value.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is that the meat that is the least consumed is sheep. There are a lot of countries that have poultry as their meat.
Something I still wonder about is what some of the sections in my data were. I was confused about some columns like measure and frequency.
The most challenging moment of this project was making the scatter plot appear and getting the data to go into it.
If I had more time, I would like to add more detail and more interaction to my project.
My proudest moment during this project was when I finally debugged my project and got it to work.
