For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with data from NFL.com.
I decided to work with this dataset because it seemed to be the most interesting.
In my visualization, the data is represented as a graph with a hover feature that displays a number of things including images and stats.
To interact with the visualization, try hovering over dots
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is not all quarterbacks with good wide recivers have good stats but some do like tua and kirk cousins. Some Quarterbacks did well with bad recivers like Patrick Mahomes and some did bad with good recivers like Jimmy Garoppolo.
Something I still wonder about is how it would look if that data was updated to now. I think the numbers would look bigger and there would be some other quarterbacks on the map.
The most challenging moment of this project was adding the images because it took so long. I had to create a variabe, a load image, and an if statement for all of them.
If I had more time, I would like to make color a factor becuase it would add another element of depth and complexity. If I also had more time I would update the data from week 1-8 to week 1-14. Or I could put a peice of code that auto updates.
My proudest moment during this project was when I finished putting the images in and I was done because that was the hardest part.
