For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with meat consumption data.
I decided to work with this dataset because I felt that it was interesting to see how beef consumption related to countries.
In my visualization, the data is represented as dots and text.
To interact with the visualization, try changing the drop down menu at the bottom, and dragging your cursor over the dots.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is how beef consumption relates not only to wealth, but also religions. An example of that is India.
Something I still wonder about is how much of a correlation there is between GDP and beef consumption.
The most challenging moment of this project was cleaning the data to be inputted into the project.
If I had more time, I would like to make it look nicer, and implement changing the type of meat.
My proudest moment during this project was when I figured out how to sort the data based off of meat type and year.
