For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with data that showed the temperatures of major cities in the US (Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago) that showed the rise in temperatures throughout the year.
I decided to work with this dataset because I wanted to see how significant climate change has effected those cities.
In my visualization, the data is represented as a graph that displays the temperature of the cities across the years
To interact with the visualization, try to click the buttons in the beginning to see the data for each city, and click on a seperate button to go to the home page.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is that some of the warmest temperatures in some cities were in the 18-19th century. I thought that it would be around now due to the climate crisis.
Something I still wonder about is how climate change hasn't played a major roll in the highest recorded temperatures.
The most challenging moment of this project was trying to make the graph. I tried some things but they didn't work.
If I had more time, I would like to have a button where the user can click on the dot and see the temperature.
My proudest moment during this project was when I was managed to get the graph done in only one session.
