Who Eats the food we grow?

THE DATA...

For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with a dataset containing the amount of food consumed by each country. 

I decided to work with this dataset because it seemed unique.

THE VISUALIZATION...

In my visualization, the data is represented by weight in metric tons per item per year.

To interact with the visualization, try clicking on a country.

One interesting thing I noticed during this project is there is a very large difference betweeen the distribution of the foods in different countries.

Something I still wonder about is how the data was gathered.

The most challenging moment of this project was fixing an error so I could call my graph function more than once. 

If I had more time, I would like to add a small tolerance slider.

My proudest moment during this project was when I got it to look good for the first time. 

MY OBSERVATIONS

I observed that milk was consumed the most for a lot of countries.
