Branding and Identity

As a brand working on the preservation and upliftment of languishing crafts, we explored with different names and combinations as well. Out of all the others, we went forward with Kalansha as the name of the brand.

Kalansha is the combination of "Kala" which means an art of something and "Ansh" which means leaving a part behind or a part of something or someone. With the combination of these two words formed, "Kalansha" which means doing your part or leaving a part from for art of the craft.

LOGO : Kalansha

The Logo of Kalansha is played in a rectangular format which represents honesty, solidity and stability. The letters of the word are divided on the vertical and horizontal segment where in the vertical reads Kala and horizontal reads ansha. The words in this manner frames the yellow box as if like a frame that is protective. The yellow represents the craft and the dotted lines represents a stitch that turns into a swirl which represents fluidity and motion for the upliftment of the craft.

COLOR SCHEME

The Primary colors represents the colors of the brand. With a a bright color sensibility the yellow represents optimism, warmth and clarity for the languishing crafts for a brighter and more prosperous future while the color blue represents trust, dependable and strength that the brand will be providing to the artisans and the consumers workign together for a common outcome. The secondary colors represents the different tones of the color family which are more darker tones and can be used accordingly. The basic colors can be used in an other scenarios where the primary and secondary colors are not required.
