Welcome Back Adams' Fam!!

PLEASE ask questions if you have them - your team is an amazing resource for this - or ANYONE on campus including your admin team, Hollie Change (dean), Renee Geyer (Title 1 Specialist), or me! We want you to be successful - let us know how we can help you!

One way to make sure you're starting off on the right foot is to make sure you thoroughly read through this - the Friday Flash every week! If you feel like there is a helpful document that needs to be in here - or something you'd like me to feature - let me know - I love getting ideas from you!

Also, please make sure that you and your teammates have access to the following: the Adams' Master Calendar, my calendar, school Webex's, the 21-22 Google Drive (for teachers). If you don't have access to any of these - please contact our amazing secretary Lupita Consuelo Valencia and she'll get you squared away.

We are going to try and make some changes to the way we use Webex so that it clears up some communication issues. In the "21-22 Adams Teachers" Webex based on feedback from teachers we are going to only allow Admin to add new posts. Everyone is welcome to reply to the thread that it pertains to only. If you don't know how only to reply to a thread - ask a friend or me! The goal is to make sure those important communications do not get lost and we can stay on top of the important stuff. We do have a "Just for Fun" space that everyone is welcome to post in - please do!

I'm so excited about our team/Adams Fam this year - I have high expectations for you all - I can't wait to see how much we all grow and learn from each other and what we're able to get our students to accomplish!!!

Personal Safety Guide

• We will be sending out the committees document out as soon as it has been updated. Every certified staff member that is at Adams only needs to sign up for at least one committee. IF there is a committee that you were thinking about that you'd like to start up - let me know and we can get it figured out!

• The Staff Duty form is also making its way through campus - you will sign yourself up for 3 duties unless otherwise approved/indicated by admin. We share it with people who have restricted schedules first and then release to others who have more flexibility w/schedules until everyone is signed up.

We have several prospective volunteers that may be willing to help clean up our gardens! The goal is to empty out all of the ones that have been overrun with grass/weeds and then district did tell me we can get liners from them that will prevent that from happening again and then we can refill with the soil that was moved under the trees and then plant something beautiful 🌱
