Another Best!
The district data guy - Coach B who was touring our school last Tuesday said that what he saw as he walked around our campus, in our classrooms, and in speaking with our staff and students was the best he has seen so far!!! Thank you to all of you who have made that happen!!!⚡✨🎉🤩
Dear Adams' Fam!!
Please rest this weekend and recharge for next week. 🔋 I think with the change in the weather 🌞 we are seeing a change in behaviors outside and even inside and we are getting a lot more office referrals because of fights 🥊. Let's reset next week and I know we're doing a lot of test prepping and getting a lot of last minute learning in before students move to the next grade level. But I promise if you take time to focus in on some really good community building 😍🐯 your students will be able to be more focused on those lessons because they're not worried about what will happen at recess or what already happened. If you need ideas about some new community builders to try PLEASE ask me or open up your Tribes book📚 - there are so many great things in there! Our kids are great and you are Amazing, our kids just might need some reminders of how to be great...
I also wanted to add - we're not alone, it's not just an Adams thing -I heard at another elementary a fight got so bad an ambulance had to come. So we're in good company with the increase in behaviors - not that it makes it ok just it's happening all over the place!
Thanks again for all you continue to do for our students!
😍
Adams team - We got this!

Using our ECA funds we were able to provide funding for 20 of our students to participate in Reading Island after school one day a week for seven weeks! This is a program offered to other schools across the East Valley and I have always been sad that our parents couldn't afford to participate, so I was very excited to find out we could support this happening for our kids!
Our April AVID Strategy of the month is Goal Setting
To the right here ➡There are some resources here to help you - the attachment at the top right is the entire Bridges Book - there are MANY topics that you can search there - use the table of contents but I do recommend if you have AVID questions to go there or to MyAVID.org
This is very timely with testing coming up! Please make sure that you have your students write goals around their testing to make sure that they take it seriously and know that their results will be looked at not only by you but by them too! For those tests that we will have the results for before the end of the school year, develop a class incentive for reaching those goals, individually and as a class. Let me know if you need help with ideas about this!
Thank you so much for all of your help with making Lunch on the Lawn a success! I had kids asking that day if we could do it again!

This made me laugh and it could potentially be useful! Thanks Ms. Keller for sharing!
