Dear Adams' Fam!!

We are gearing up and planning for next school year, but there is plenty of teaching time left this school year too! Please hold strong till the end of the school year - I promise the more your kids can tell that you're still in it for them till the end, the more likely they will stay on task and engaged for you. If you're leaving your room, please don't start "obviously" packing until later in May so you're not signaling to your students that you're done otherwise they will be done too!

One of the things we are looking at is sending teachers to get fully trained in Kagan. Over the years we've been doing one of the five days of the full training per school year. It looks like we may have some funds to send people in June only to get the whole training. If you are interested in this, please let me know ASAP! I'm sorry, yes, this will be during summer school so unless you can get a fill in for that week, you wouldn't be able to go - also, we cannot pay you to attend the training. We are hoping to eventually have our own trainers - so if that interests you then you would definitely be a candidate, or if you are fairly new to Adams and missed some of those Kagan training days, this would also be perfect for you.

Lunch on the Lawn is an exciting time for our families to come join their kids for lunch! In the past we have invited families to have lunch and we bring the cafeteria tables out to the courtyard. We are still going to bring the cafeteria tables out but we're also going to invite families to bring blankets to spread over the grass in the courtyards to have a picnic style lunch. Families will be able to purchase lunch in the cafeteria or they can bring their own. It is a fun experience for all and I'm excited that the weather shouldn't be too hot next Friday either! If you have any standing umbrellas that you can bring that we can put out that day, we'd really appreciate it, I'll be bringing a couple from my backyard! 🌞
