😍 So I have had the awesome fun of going into your classrooms for longer stints because of formal evaluations - I am NOT being sarcastic - I LOVE spending time in your rooms and watching your awesomeness and then sitting down with you to talk teaching! I know saying it probable won't help some of you who get nervous about evaluations - but please know, I see the evaluation process as a great opportunity to help you reflect and grow as a teacher - I know I reflect and grow after every conversation and observation I have of you all.
If there is something specific I can do to help you or your students please let me know as soon as possible so I can work on that or problem solve with you - don't let something eat away at you - I can't work on it if I don't know it is happening! So, I'm counting on you to help me by coming to me about it!
On that note, I'd like to start having either one on one chats with you or if you would prefer we could do it with your team - I can do this during a special, your lunch time or before or after school. Please let me know what you would prefer so I can start scheduling! Again, don't worry if I reach out to you to schedule this - I'm just trying to spend time with each of you to get to know you better and make sure I learn from you what I can do better.

Evaluations- I have reached out if I am the one doing your evaluation. If you have had 2 observations by your assigned evaluator then you can schedule your formal evaluation. Please do not wait until the last minute to sign up. The first one needs to be complete prior to winter break. Click here for my detailed instructions/helpful tips

Thank you to all of our teachers for helping us make Red Ribbon Week a success. We will continue to improve it each year.
We started our attendance groups this week for 2-6th grade students who have missed 12 or more days of school in the first quarter.

Our Assistant Superintendent, Arlinda Mann will be on campus Monday from 8:30 - 10. Most of the time we'll be in my office chatting but she did say she specifically wanted to go into rooms to see ELA and how we're using Fastbridge data. I have reached out some teachers already because I thought I'd show her our phonics instruction.
We also have teachers from Lehi visiting Tuesday from 7:30 -10 to see AVID implementation in the primary grades! I am in the process of scheduling those visits as well:) Thank you for making our vision come to fruition - we are a Model School!

Elena Ford and author Stacy McAnulty are looking forward to having Adams participate in the virtual reading party, which should last 45 min-1 hour! There will also be schools participating from Houston, Dallas and St. Louis. Last year's virtual event was a success and we are looking forward to your participation this year.

I know this school year has been like no other - I think we were expecting to come back to normal and it's not quite normal - but I very much appreciate how you've come together to support one another. We desperately need each other through these tough times. We're doing good work and you may not see it but your students VERY much appreciate you and I VERY much appreciate you too.

I asked you to pick one that you felt you could implement right away - what did you pick? I'm going to put a sentence strip in your mailbox so that you can write a reminder to post in your classroom with just the name of the strategy - If you're like me, reminders help!
