Near State Qualifiers

Minot North Track has had 4 state qualifiers so far this season. Vincent Pecoraro in the 100m Dash with a time of 11.23, and Azen Lockhart, Vincent Pecoraro, Aaron Garza, and Ethan Howey in the 4x100 with a time of 44.49, and Joeseph Olsen, Vincent Percoraro, Azen Lockhart, Aaron Garza in the 4x200, and Ethan Howey sn shotput with a distance of 48 feet 7 inches

However, many athletes are closing in on qualifying for state.

100m: Qualifying time for the hundred is 11.34. Azen Lockhart and Aaron Garza are closing in at that time, with the previous 11.46 and 11.47 runs.

200m: Vincent Pecoraro has a time of 23.28, and the state qualifying time is 23.24.

Aaron Garza ran a 23.36 on April 11th at the Minot Invite

400m: Sophomore Jayce Wendt is 1.05 seconds behind state with a time of 53.29 on April 21st.

110H: John Clark is the closest to qualifying for hurdles with a time of 16.94. State qualifier is 16.14.

Long Jump: Gavin Tobey jumped 20 feet 5 inches on March 27th, just 4 inches short of the 20 feet 9 inches you need to qualify.

These athletes are working hard every day to improve in their events and, by the end of the season, might qualify to go to state. The next track meet is Thursday, Apr 24, 2025, in Minot.
