Life of a Sentinel, Lack of Motivation

With the school year coming to an end, procrastination and lack of motivation win the battle almost every single time. Completing schoolwork is difficult, and finishing everything feels impossible. When these feelings arise, it is important to devise strategies that will help you accomplish your goals and finish that work!
As a student, stress plays a big part in day-to-day life. Because of this, it is a good idea to find a way to relieve stress. Finding activities to relieve stress can be found easily with a quick search on Google. Henry Ford Health says to try fun and exciting activities such as baking a new recipe, playing games, gardening, creating some art, or completing a puzzle. You could try meditating, reading, or simply listening to music to calm down as well.
Another option as a student is creating routines. Routines play a big part in everyone’s lives. As an infant, your parent(s)/guardian established routines to help you not only learn the ways of life and what you should do or no do, but to help you create good habits and promote healthy brain function, such as cognitive function and organization. This can be applied to your current situation: making a good routine in doing school work or a schedule of your activities and sudy/homework time. This could promote further motivation and habits of doing work.
By relieving stress, you can boost motivation and improve performance. These practices should help you get those assignments done in time and, hopefully, feel more motivated!
