Ms. Michels

Publisher; ELA Teacher for 14 years; Head Coach for Student Congress and Competitive Speech; Advisor for GSA and The Sentinel Star Club; MEA Building Rep and Vice President. When not doing any of that, you will find her reading, sewing, or watching a baking show. In the summers, she spends her time outdoors camping, hiking, and biking.

Ella Withers

Editor; Senior; President of the Knights in the Round (Thespian Troupe 11850); Jesters Member; Member of the Competitive Speech Team; Student Congress Senior Captain; NHS Member. Aside from her public speaking extracurriculars, she enjoys watching horror movies and subsequently reading horror novels, writing poetry, reading things with words in general, and playing the trumpet and piano.

Victoria Calderon

Editor & Instagram Manager; Cheerleader for football and basketball for 5 years; Junior; member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Fellow Christian Athletes, Sources of Strength, Spanish club, and Community Connections. In her free time, she likes to read books, and watch movies, and she also likes to hang out with friends.

Ryleigh McMillan

Journalist; Senior Class Representative; Leader of Sentinel Book Club; Senior; member of National Honor Society and Student Council. Along with her creative spirit, she likes to crochet whenever she can, listen to true crime podcasts, and spend time with those closest to her.

Autumn Palmer

Journalist; Jesters Club Member; Freshman. She enjoys doing photography, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite subjects in school are Math and Biomedical Science. Autumn's top 3 goals of high school are to graduate, learn new hobbies, and improve her studying habits.

Bryleigh McBride

Journalist; Sophomore; Class President; Keystone Club President; TSA Secretary; Chess Club Photographer; Tech Club Captain; Tech and Robotics Club Media Manager; active member of the golf team, FBLA, DECA, NHS, Speech, and Student Congress. In addition to the Sentinal Star, Bryleigh is also a journalist for the Northern Sentry paper and for the FBLA monthly newspaper. She writes about Minot North sports, clubs, and community events and plans to bring her knowledge of journalism to the Sentinel Star. Outside of school, Bryleigh enjoys volunteering around the community, especially for The Lord’s Cupboard; practicing nail art on her friends; playing with her golden retriever, chickens, and bunnies; photography; crocheting; and reading. She also enjoys playing bassoon in concert bands, playing in festivals around the state, participating in local bands, and playing piano in jazz band.

Autumn Davidson

Journalist; Junior; member of NHS, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club, Band, Orchestra, and Community Connections Club. In her free time, Autumn likes to play volleyball, watch movies, hang out with friends, and also remains an active member in her church youth group.

Adalynne Wood

Journalist; Freshman; member of Jesters club; violinist of 6 years. In her free time, she enjoys reading, shopping, listening to music, as well as baking for her friends.

Mikah Jarmin

Journalist; Senior; GSA Historian; member of The Knights in the Round (Troupe 11850), Jesters, Book Club, and Game Club. In her free time, Mikah enjoys arts and crafts, writing, sewing, and visiting with friends. Her favorite genres to read are fantasy and action, and she deeply enjoys writing fiction and fantasy stories. (will get picture after school)

Kloee DeCoteau

Journalist; Sophmore; Member of the Jesters club, Book club, and Symphonic Choir. in her free time, Kloee enjoys singing, drawing, hanging out with friends, and sleeping. new to mnhs and likes biology and writing ( pull my school picture)

Chloe Gadson

Journalist; Member of Sources of Strength. In her free time, she can be found writing up a new fictional story, reading a book, painting, researching Greek mythology, or spreading word about a new environmental or social issue . In the summer she is always outside by the river or laying in the sun while reading or meditating. After high school she plans to attend college with interests currently in psychology and marine biology while displaying interests in literature and philosophy. She joined Sentinel Star Club with her love of writing and hopes to spread important information or shine some light on the serious topics she believes people need to know.

Fatimazahra Elbouab

Journalist; Sophomore; member of the swim team, wrestling team, NHS, FBLA, HOSA, Keystone Club, Science Olympiad, Speech, and Student Congress; pianist of 11 years. Fatimazahra contributes to The Northern Sentry through her Jr. Journalism article submissions and the monthly FBLA newsletter. When not in school, Fatimazahra enjoys playing classical piano pieces, reading books, and writing stories, including her published book, Drowning Truths. She also enjoys scrapbooking, anything involving crafts, traveling, photography, spending time with family, and studying new languages such as German while enhancing her current languages, including Turkish and Moroccan Arabic. Fatimazahra is interested in aviation and aerospace engineering, and aspires to become an astronaut, neurosurgeon, and U.S. senator.
